The budgets and team plans listed below are estimates and are subject to
change. However it is a good indication of what is being planned and the
costs you can expect to come across if you are selected to one of the teams
and choose to participate during the 2009 season.

This team will play on Sunday's during the months of April, May, June, and

practicing for their state tourney, at the conclusion of Little League All
Stars the team will pick up play again and ultimately end their season with
a tournament at Baseball Heaven in Long Island, New York. During the season
the 12U team can expect to play an estimated 34 to 40 games, they will play
on a mid-size diamond, 50 foot mound and 70 foot bases, the home field is
located in Warwick, RI, and the team will probably play about 90% of it's
season there, so not much traveling out of state.
The player cost to play on the Tides 12U team
is only $975.00, this does not include the tourney to Long
Island, NY, which will probably be an additional $200 to $400, depending
upon travel costs.
2009 13U Team - Overview...
This is considered one of the premier ages to play AAU or any select play,
as the focus is on preparing to play at the high school level, so when
looking for a team a parent and players focus should be on the coaching
staff and the program in place to support that teams goals, and with the
Tides you are playing for one of the top 13U programs in the country, the
number of players playing at the MLB and college D1 and D2 levels support
that statement, our 13U season really gets serious in early February as the
team will begin indoor workouts at Warwick Vets gymnasium and the Extra
Innings indoor facility in Warwick, RI, this will happen on Sunday mornings,
the emphasis will be a preparing the pitchers and putting in the various
infield defenses and pickoff plays. As the end of March rolls around the
team will begin outdoor workouts and then games beginning in early April and
ending mid-July, the home field for the Tides 13U team is Moses Brown
School, Providence, RI. The season will finish off with a National
tournament which will be held towards the end of July. Also, during the
season the team will hit on Friday nights at Extra Innings and have strength
and conditioning workouts during late April and May. Finally this team
can expect to play anywhere from 50 to 60 games to go along with an
excellent practice schedule.
The player cost to play on the Tides 13U team
is $1880.00,
this does not include the National Tournament at the end of the season,
which will probably be an additional $350 to $450, depending upon travel
costs.
2009 14U Team -
Overview... The focus on this team is to provide excellent
competition and high school/college level coaching so that our players
continue to excel and push their game to the next level. The team will begin
indoor workouts at the beginning of March, as pitchers and players prepare
to get outdoors at compete. Due to the level of high school players expected
to participate on this team, our 14U team will play doubleheaders on
Sunday's only during the months of April and May, once the high school
season begins to end the team will pickup play and play doubleheaders on
Saturday and Sunday. During late June the team will participate in the New
England AAU playoffs and then at the end of the July the team will travel to
Disney, Florida to play at the AAU Nationals, this tournament takes place
over about 7 to 8 days and is held at the Atlanta Braves spring training
complex on the Walt Disney grounds. Some Side Notes.. During the season the
team will have BP on Sunday mornings from 8 AM to 9 AM, no Friday night
hitting as in the past, we are getting away from that due to school
conflicts. And the team will have strength and conditioning training during
the months of June and early July, when school ball is completed. Finally,
this team can expect to play anywhere from 40 to 50 games.
The player cost to play on the Tides 14U team
is $1510.00, this does not include the National Tournament
at the end of the season, which will probably be an additional $300 to $450,
depending upon travel costs.
*** Special Note *** as of right now the 15U
budget is being put together, this team can expect to go on
two trips, a national tournament at the end of July and an East Cobb
tourney, for exposure purposes. The team will play during the months of June
and July, as to not interfere with HS baseball.
