FAQ - 12 YEAR OLD PROGRAM
'The following is a FAQ with Tides President and Director of Baseball Operations, Joe Styborski, regarding our 2009 12 year old program."

Q:
Will this program interfere with my Little League season?
A:
No, the Tides 12 year old team will play on Sunday's only, from April until about the middle of June, once Little League All Star teams begin to practice the team will break until the end of the state tournament. After the state tourney the team will resume play and continue play on the weekends until wrapping up their season with tourney in Long Island in the middle of August.
Q: How many games do you expect to play?
A:
We will schedule doubleheader every Sunday from early April through to the middle of June, break for Little League All Stars, and then pickup doubleheaders again, this time on both Saturday and Sunday, once All Stars is concluded, all total I would expect the team to play at least 40 games, if we can do more we will, we always do.
Q: Will you have a winter or off-season program?
A: Yes, the winter program will consist of Live BP camps, a Tides Orientation Camp, and practice sessions, about 10 to 15 sessions total throughout the winter. Enough to make an impact in the players development, but not too much as to interfere with other in-season sports such as basketball and hockey, It will be an excellent program, also outside coaches will be brought in to help instruct, college assistants and so forth. Our winter program is always regarded as one of the best in New England, not only for what you get out of it, but for value as well.
Q: What do you expect the cost to be?
A: The regular season should be just under a thousand dollars, and then the off-season or winter program will be around five hundred dollars. The goal is to make this team very affordable as it is an introduction into our program. And will act as a supplemental program to Little League
